Easter Cards - Now Available

I have just added these two cute Easter cards to my online shop.

Both designs were created by scanning hand-drawn images and various fabric textures and trims in to my computer and then manipulating them in Photoshop. The resulting designs have been printed on to high quality coated paper and then mounted on to textured/pearly paper before being applied to a white card base.

The cards come sealed in a protective cellophane bag with a matching white envelope.

Regular visitors to my blog will recognise these motifs from my previous blog post in April 2008 when I first created the cute little creatures. I did not have an online shop at the time so I am pleased to be able to share them with you for Easter 2009.

Revamp and Recycle

I am always stashing bits and pieces away with the view to revamp and recycle them at a later date. In fact, many of the fabrics and trims I use in my designs I collected as a child.

When I received a basket full of Cornish goodies for Christmas I knew straight away I would be re-using the basket at some point! Now all of the goodies (apart from some delicious strawberry and champagne jam) have been eaten I have put the basket to a new use.

I made a close-fitting lining for the basket using some floral quilting fabric I bought back in Cambridge. I edged the fabric with co-ordinating satin ribbon to give the lining a neat finish and to enable me to fasten it around the handle.

And there you go - another neat storage solution for my ever-gowing collection of notebooks (all useful and in use I hasten to add!).

New Product in my Shop

I am launching a new product in my online shop - handmade make-up bags. I currently have the two designs above available.

The fun printed fabrics on these bags are from Japan. The bags are fully lined with a lightweight white PVC fabric protecting them from smudges and spills and enabling them to be wiped clean. The 20cm zip at the top is decorated with ribbon for ease of use. The bags measure W. 20cm, H.16cm, D. 5cm.

Please see my shop for further details.
